The Combermere School

The unexpected COVID-19 epidemic put a strain on the global education system, forcing instructors to overnight switch to an online style of instruction. Therefore, the use of the correct system can be utilized at this time as the administration of the Combermere School seeks to use the technology to its fullest potential.

As one of the oldest institutions in the Caribbean, Combermere School was founded in 1695 and is located in Barbados. Several notable cricketers, including David Thompson, the sixth Prime Minister of Barbados, as well as other politicians, authors, and singer Rihanna are among its alumni.

One of the first secondary schools in Barbados and among the first in the Commonwealth is Combermere. Additionally, the institution was the first on the island to provide lower-class Blacks with secondary education. The school has over 1100 students at this time.

Combermere is headed by a principal who is aided by a deputy principal. There are also six-year heads for the first form to upper sixth. There are around 70 employees overall, including a guidance counselor.
